In Los Angeles on Tuesday, Oct 29, over fifty students from East LA College and other members of the ReFund coalition marched into a local Wells Fargo branch to announce the report "Wells Fargo Spreads Cash, Our Communities Lose: How Wells Fargo's Political Spending Harms California Communities." The group, led by ELAC students Sonny Martinez and Kenia Alcocer, presented the branch manager with a letter to Wells Fargo CEO John Stumpf asking him to sign on to the ReFund Pledge to support a property tax system where corporations pay their fair share. When the manager refused to accept the letter, members of the Monterey Park Police Department who were there to respond to the protest assisted protestors in getting the letter sent. Also participating in the protest was AFT 1521 (who led the coordination), Occupy Fights Foreclosures and ACCE.

In San Francisco, community members from ACCE gathered at the Wells Fargo headquarters accompanied by allies from SEIU 1021 and the Peralta Federation of teachers. The group was led by ACCE members Jose Vega and Ross Rhodes that called on Wells Fargo to get their dirty money out of politics and instead focus on helping homeowners. The group was locked out of the building, but delivered the report through a security guard.
